REFLECTION, COLLABORATION, SYNTHESIS...

As the developer and design-builder, River Meadow brings extensive industry experience, including the 3650 Osage townhomes in Highland. Tejon34’s design is a genuine reflection of collaboration at its finest. Well before the first shovel of dirt was turned, neighbors, community leaders, city officials and realtors shared their ideals on the development with the design-build team, including Daniel H. O’Brien, the project’s Denver-based architect. The result is a synthesis of diverse thoughts, brought together in a design that is powerful, cohesive and lasting.

Ray Kawano

Ray Kawano is the Managing Partner of River Meadow, LLC, the Developer-Builder of Tejon34. He has taken a hands-on role in overseeing the selection and performance of the planning, design and construction teams from the project’s onset. He also works closely with the realtors on defining and implementing sales and marketing direction and activities.

Ray played a similar role on 3650 Osage, a multi-family townhome development within a few blocks of Tejon34. Prior to that, he was  the Vice President of Operations for a commercial design-build firm specializing in technical facilities.

A native of Hawaii, he received his B.A. (Political Science) from Colorado College in 1971.

Daniel H. O’Brien

Dan O’Brien is a partner with ZOArchitecture. He is the principal designer for Tejon 34 – including site planning, architecture, and interiors.
Dan has experience providing design work for a wide variety of project types and locations. These include many regions of the U.S. as well as several international locations. His work is intended to provide specific design solutions which capitalize on the unique conditions that exist in each project. Design awards have been given to his work by professional associations in the U.S. and China.

He received his B.S. in Architecture from the University of Michigan in 1977.

William Wheeler

William Wheeler owns Wheeler CM and is the Project Engineer for the Tejon34 team. He was involved in the design from its conception with particular interest in the building envelope and mechanical systems. William played a similar role in the  construction of the 3650 Osage Townhomes.

He has also managed the construction of many medical, high tech, and commercial facilities as well as a number of homes over the past 35 years. William’s work experience includes lutherie, furniture making, carpentry, and kitchen and bath design.

He has studied Engineering, Business, and Construction  Management and is a former board member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of The Project Management Institute.
